Melius Cyber - Chair of the Board

We are pleased to announce that Matt Little has been invited to take the role of Chair of the Board at Melius Cyber Security after a successful fundraising round with North-East Venture Fund (managed by Mercia Asset Management PLC)

Melius Cyber's platform monitors an organisation’s IT network around the clock, testing security and protecting it from the latest threats. CyberSafe Plus automates the process of vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, in which cyber experts simulate attacks to detect weaknesses in the system.

The platform was developed specifically for SMEs and aligns with Cyber Essentials, the government-backed accreditation scheme that shows businesses take cybersecurity seriously. It helps businesses to gain accreditation by showing they have monitoring in place and can meet the criteria.

Azerion enhances digital games distribution with the integration of GENBA™ platform

I am incredibly pleased and proud to see the announcement from Azerion today that they have acquired Genba Digital

My company, Blue Ocean Insight, started working with Genba last year and in that time, we have advised them on Product Management including building a new Product Management function, and I have helped the outstanding Genba team move software development, QA and Project Management in-house.

In bringing this expertise in-house, we helped add tangible value which has today been recognised by Azerion.

The decision to reduce risk and build value in this way was something that Genba had wanted to do but felt more comfortable doing so when the board and wider Genba team had access to the knowledge and experience of the Blue Ocean Insight team.

Congratulations to both parties and I can't wait to see where the group goes next.

Two more exists

2021 has been an interesting year and it has flown by thus far!

It has been a great year for Blue Ocean Insight’s customers with two of them successfully exiting to trade acquirers.

The Blue Ocean team helped these organisations by getting them “exit-ready” in the technology and product space.

In one case, to build greater value in the company, we advised them to bring engineering and product management back in-house and we supported that strategy through building a new product management function and significantly increasing their ability to build new customer-focussed products.

The results were clear - technical and product due diligence was a straightforward process as the company had been prepared by our consultants in key product and technology areas.

Our pragmatic and practical ‘health assessments’ ensure that product and technology are ready for the challenges ahead as they scale and potentially exit or attract investment.
